Treat Others the Way YOU Want to be Treated

Five Lessons to Make you think about the way we treat people

Lesson 1: Cleaning Lady

Mr. Ing is reading this to us because he is imply us to realize that everyone's job is important.  How this relates to leadership is that we have different jobs in leadership... and each job is important and every person working the job is important. For example, in leadership we have different jobs such as Music, Lunch Music, TV, ID's, Lounge, and Afterschool Sales.  Each job is important, if we didn't have TV or Music how will students be updated and informed?  Do you think that the administrators will have time to do that? I honestly think they don't so it Leadership's responsibility.  Or another example, the school.  The lesson I learned is that everyone in a team, group, staff, or any type of thing that deals with peopled different working together; everyone is important! Everybody should be recognized and at least thanked for the work that they've done.

Lesson 2: Pickup in the Rain

Mr. Ing is reading this to us is to teach us a lesson about generosity. What this has to do with leadership is that the scenario relates to how US leadership should treat others.  We help others and maybe one day or out of no where, we will at least get a thank you or positive feedback. The lesson I learned is that when you perform good deeds (you should ALWAYS), you'll at least get appreciation or positive feedback. Pretty much it's stating be the way you want to be treated, and be generous.

Lesson 3: Always Remember Those who Serve

Mr. Ing is reading this to us to appreciate the people who serve or help us. Similar to Pickup in the Rain its pretty much vice versa.  How this relates to leadership is that we have to appreciate everything people do for us and especially the little things and we serve the school of Ilima.  The lesson learned is that appreciate everything people do for you..  At least say a polite thank you or be appreciative and generous :)  I thought this was a very sweet story.

Lesson 4:  The Obstacle in Our Path

Mr. Ing is reading this to us because he is trying to explain something to us which is anyone can solve a problem and he's trying to teach us a lesson.  What this has to do with leadership is that there was an incident similar to the scenario.  Also when we have problems or obstacles we should find a solution to it because you should know what you are doing.  The lesson learned is that there may be obstacles in but you have to find a way to overcome it so there will be a positive and clear path (no problems).  So you can continue and move on with your responsibilities.

Lesson 5: Giving When it Comes...

Mr. Ing read this to us because he is trying to tell us that we should give when it counts...  What this has to do with leadership is that we should give when we have to..  For example, in leadership we have to give up some of our freedom at school, like we have to work our jobs.  I've rather work my job than be out there at recess because recess wouldn't be the same without music and the school relies on us.  The lesson learned is that you should be generous and give when it counts.  I know I keep saying the title over and over again  but overall in my view, that's what its all about..

The lessons learned is all stated in the blog..  And overall I've learned how we should think about the way we treat people and these lessons opened up my eyes. (I saw the sign.. lol i just had to).
