Leadership Retreat 2013

So today is my first day home from the retreat and I'm already bored!  Honestly I think this year's retreat was more organized but honestly I think last year's retreat was more fun and we bonded more.  Enough of last year's retreat already.. lol.  Let's talk about this year's retreat!  First of all, not all of us came because partly it was their fault or partly it was personal reasons.  I'm just going to explain about what happened throughout the whole time we were there.

We had had activities or we now had lessons.  Such as the mobile (we had to choose 5 hawaii core values and create a mobile), memory jars (make a jar to remember your time at the retreat), and the bucket filler thingy (say nice things about someone to fill their bucket lol).  That was one nice change that I actually enjoyed, I actually had something to take home and show to my parents lolol.

Then we had the planning areas...  I honestly liked how we got to write on the big posters, I thought is was more organized and it makes it easier to present our ideas. But the thing I disliked was that I had to take it home, which added more capacity to my luggage.

FOOD. OMG The food was great, I don't know why some people were complaining about the food, I actually loved it.  People know how to read my mind!  But yeah I liked how Mr. Ing passed out snacks, like deep fried oreos, banana lumpia, hot pockets. Like I didn't even eat dinner because I was still full lululz.  But yaah.

Leadership Chopped was okay I guess.. Period Two's Taco Cups were actually good, I don't really like mexican food but that was actually good and the presentation was nice!  And guess what they won lol  Period 6 got in second, I think it was because of our originality? Or the presentation.  I'm not gonna say anything about Period 4...  I had some gasy problems going on. ok ill shut up.  For talent show, I thought it was lame.  Okay i'm being honest okay, it wasn't as intense like last year.  Let's rephrase, it wasn't lame.. it was less intimidating.  I was astonished when Period 6 was placed last ;O until I found out we were actually first. I honestly thought period 2 would be first.  But Period 4's talents were.. LOL. I was laughing. But yeaah.

We slept late but I was knocked out on the second night.  I didn't take a shower as much as last year lol.  What we overally did on free time was play cards or go crab hunting.  Cheana and her crabs and there's us playing spoons, kemps, or speed.  It was actually fun and i will like to say I felt like I brought less stuff this year lol.  And the futons were comfortable, I actually felt like I was at home on my own bed.  I was kinda bummed that we didn't get the cots but I actually like the futons.  Period 2 and Period 6 slept together on the futons, aren't we rebels.  But the thing I hated was my monthly friend came along -.- ugh.  I wanted to swim so badly on the last day but no, i just played in the sand!  Cleaning the yard and cleaning the house went well and smoothly and we didn't get into any problems.  Oh yah I forgot to say the interviews that we had went smoothly as well.  Then picture taking was easy and it was like 5 or two snaps and we were done lol.  When i went home unpacking was easy, I just threw everything in the hamper lolol.

But yeah, that's what happened at retreat, it was fun and enjoying I thought we actually bonded and i was bummed that the others weren't allowed to come and the relays was fun as well!  Thanks to Maliah for catching us up.  But the lesson learned was to plan and bond with eachother.  My highlight was just us bonding and astonishingly we didn't really argue as much.  BTW. I CAN'T BELIEVE I WON FOR THE ENVELOPE CONTEST OHEMGEE.
