Philosophical Chairs in Leadership?

Hey bloggers!  Well, I am making a blog on Tuesday and I think you are wondering why I am making a blog... early??? LOL IDK what you are wondering, I'm not Angela.  Please do not ask me about that...  I'm just gonna say that it's an app and it's called talking angela I believe.  But do not download... for more information just search it up on the nternet lol.  Anyways, I'm going off topic now..  but this blog is a response blog to our leadership philosophical chairs' topics.  Today in homeroom we had our REAL philosophical chairs discussion but yeah I'm just going to respond to the topics.

Following Rules
Following Rules was the first topic that we covered this morning.  In my own definition, following rules means to follow rules! LOL.  It's pretty much self explanatory and if you don't understand about what following rules means then.. you are missing in life.  But following rules is important, most of the time rules are made for a reason and in this case, rules are made so we can AVOID problems and mistakes. If you run into problems or mistakes then that'll make everyone's job harder.  Or sometimes rules are made to keep everyone safe.  But there are may reasons why rules are made but right now in my opinion, the rules in leadership are made so we can AVOID trouble and mistakes.  That's why I think following rules is important.  Sometimes following rules isn't good? LOL.  It depends on who makes the rules and why they made it.  Like the unnecessary rules made in hide and go seek games (younger days lol).  Yeah, those rules.. aren't really important to follow they were pretty dumb and stupid.  Most of the time rules are important, so please don't think following rules isn't important.  What this has to do with leadership as of right now, is that... we aren't following rules! That's just showing that we are making room for mistake/trouble when  we don't have any room from trouble.  Basically we aren't following rules, if this keeps going on.. then we may make more trouble or even loose some priveleges due to our carelessness.

Being Responsible
Being Responsible was the second topic that was covered this morning. The importance of being responsible is that we have to be in charge of our own decisions.  What I mean is that, whatever decision we make like not finishing yearbook in time when it was our responsiblity to affects the whole school in a certain way. Our responsibility is what we have to take care of and be aware of, if not there will be problems. Everyone should be responsible.. it's the only way you can live in life, well it's easier if you are responsible instead of being irresponsible.  Responsibility is pretty much important and by responsibility, that is what we have to take care of and do!  In leadership right now, we aren't showing any responsibility.  That's not good because, we are supposed to be responsible, we are put in a position where people expect us to be stronger in responsiblity than others.  Right now we aren't doing well in our responsibilites and that just affects everyone and that's not good.  One action, always will have a reaction.

Delayed Gratification
Delayed Gratification is the ability to resist temptation for an immediate reward and wait for a later reward.  At first I was wondering, how does delayed gratification connect with our performance right now in leadership?  That's what I thought.  But right now we aren't delaying gratification because right now we passed our DEADLINE for yearbook and we now have to pay the fines.  Going on to my point, we gave ourselves an early gratification for relaxing an procrastinating on yearbook instead of working on it and being finished with everything.  If we finished yearbook earlier we would be able to focus more on more important things that are coming up instead of worrying abut finishing it after the deadline.  We had our own gratification but if we just did what we were supposed to do and finish it we wouldn't be in position and our real gratification would be much more better and it can wait.  But no, we decided not to.. and that's just one way of not being responsible and following rules.

What I realized after this meeting, all of these three topics connect to eachother.. if you know what I mean lol.  THAT'S IT NOW!!! BYYE
